Beware Season Change Skin Diseases

Department of Health (health office) in Sidoarjo district asks residents to be wary of skin disease in the turn of the dry season to rainy season.

Sidoarjo regency health office head Ruth Tri Agustina, Tuesday, said “entering the turn of the dry season to rainy season, are vulnerable to spread of skin diseases.” Skin disease can be characterized by itching that occurs in the patient's body.

The cause of skin disease included of flying dust attached to the body. "Therefore, the health office also encourage to people to use a moisturizer if you leave the house. The heat is now experienced as the beginning of the season changes to be anticipated," he said. He explains, people get infected with skin disease can be fatal.

According to the health office data, the disease of Respiratory Tract Infection (ARI), diarrhea and skin diseases is still affects by many peoples, especially in Sidoarjo regency.

The data derived from the number of patients undergoing disease hospitalized in the Regional General Hospital (Hospital) in Sidoarjo and Community Health Center (Puskesmas) in Sidoarjo district. In Sidoarjo regency, the number of patients of diarrheal disease tends to decrease compared with the same period in last year. After the fasting day the body condition are more easy to get some disease because of eat too much.
