Urticaria

Urticaria is a reaction of blood vessels that arise because of various kinds of circumstances.This reaction forms a lesion on the skin or mucous membranes local edema. If this edema on the bottom of the skin and / or subcutaneous, called angioderma.


These skin reactions can occur at the local or spread. Because of this skin disease causes so many, so urticaria often found in everyday situations. Urticaria lesions sometimes unknown. This is caused by abnormalities that arise quickly disappear so as not to be a concern for patients. Therefore insident this disease is higher than the known.

Insident disease is not known certainty, as the picture can be presented from the researchers reported that 20% of the population have suffered from disease of angiodema and urticaria. Women have a higher tendency than men. From a survey in Sweden, it is known that from 5 regions gained population prevalence rates for 0.14 % of female and 0:11% for male.

As reported by researchers, sometimes urticaria can occur together with angiodema. From a research shows 216 peoples that suffering from chronic urticaria and angiodema, obtained 70 cases is the combined manifestations of urticaria and angiodema, angiodema only 14 cases and 152 cases suffering from urticaria only.
